Granola is one of my favorite power snacks. Full of protein, healthy carbs and with a slight sweetness and plenty of crunch, it’s my go-to snack recipe.
A few weekends ago, some of our best friends came into town to visit. And what better way to treat some wonderful friends than to a pan full of deliciousness for breakfast? Especially when they are the kind of friends that love to eat as much as you do (judgement-free zone!).
I remember the first time I ever had a caprese salad. I was out to dinner at a fancy steakhouse with my family and it was love at first bite (so cheesy, but sorry, I just had to).
Growing up in the South has allowed me to sink my teeth into some pretty tasty biscuits. Most of them have been doused in butter or–before I became a vegetarian–sausage gravy, but honestly, I never cared about the toppings, I just wanted the fluffy goodness.
My mom is notorious for buying way too much food, all the time. I think she still thinks she has at least 3 kids in the house or something because her and my dad frequently make trips to Sam’s Club to buy everything in bulk. I’m not just talking paper towels and toilet paper and things that they will go through eventually, I’m talking perishables.
